Leadership

Alexandre Ben-Amor

President / Chief Inspector

Alexandre Ben-Amor founded IPIC International in 2011 because he was inspired by a strong desire to take fresh produce inspections to a higher level.

He based his new company on three guiding principles that were revolutionary in the fresh produce inspection industry: innovation, transparency and accessibility.

Inspired by these fundamental principles, he implemented a better way to conduct investigations and deliver final inspection reports, including employing state-of-the-art technology, open communications with clients, and 24/7 accessibility.

Prior to founding IPIC, Alexandre worked extensively for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, where he gained broad training and hands-on experience in US and Canadian fruit and vegetable quality standards. He is qualified to inspect all types of fruits and vegetables

His integrity, knowledge and passion for the fresh produce industry later earned him an appointment as Officer in Charge of the Destination Inspection Service (DIS) for Quebec and the eastern provinces.

He also served as a National Director and a member of the National Industry Advisory Board. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Montreal.
